The project involved the construction of a new three lane cast-in-place, post tensioned (CIP/PS) box girder bridge, three new ramps incorporating ramp metering, soundwalls, earthwork utilizing light weight engineering fill, drainage, lighting signals and extensive utility relocation.  Traffic handling and a complicated stage construction was necessary because the existing facility had to remain in operation during construction.
