Regional Manager / Resident Engineer
With more than eight years of construction administration and inspection experience, Mr. Fornelli is capable of independently administering large construction projects, as well as lead construction management teams. His rail and railroad facilities experience is extensive. He has been the lead Construction Manager / Resident Engineer and sole inspector on several Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) facility projects, including multi-modal facilities, administration and gate buildings, main line grading and track work, and a new diesel fueling system. Mr. Fornelli has also managed housing subdivision infrastructure improvements for private developers. In addition, he has been the Resident Engineer on a locally funded $5 million roadway widening and bridge replacement project he was the sole administrator and lead inspector for this work. He was also the Office Engineer / Assistant Resident Engineer on two (2) multi-million dollar projects, both for local agencies, one with Caltrans oversight. He was responsible for the proper administration and documentation of those projects. Mr. Fornelli has excellent communication skills. He learns quickly and works well independently or in a team environment. His hard work ethic, willingness to learn, intelligence and positive and cooperative attitude, have made him a true asset to these projects.
Selected Experience
UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD (UPRR) ROSEVILLE FUELING SYSTEM – Roseville, CA - Construction Value: $3.7 million. Two (2) one million gallon diesel fuel tanks and approximately 10,000 feet of underground double walled steel fuel pipes.
WEST EL CAMINO AVE WIDENING AND NATOMAS MAIN DRAINAGE CANAL BRIDGE REPLACEMENT – Sacramento, CA - Construction Value: $5.5 million. Replacement of an existing concrete slab on piles bridge and widening the existing two lane road to four lanes.
EL DORADO HILLS 73 UNIT SUBDIVISION (VILLADORO) PROJECT – El Dorado Hills, CA - Construction Value: $10 million. Construction of infrastructure improvement for a very high end residential subdivision on the side of a rugged mountain range.
I-5 / ARENA BOULEVARD INTERCHANGE PROJECT - Sacramento, CA - Construction Value: $13.5 million. Construction of cast-in-place pre-stressed (CIP/PS) concrete box girder bridge, multiple highway ramps, widening freeway, new city streets, curb, gutter and sidewalk, landscaping, signalized intersections, street lights, several large storm drain systems, and utility relocations.
UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD (UPRR) INTERMODAL RAIL FACILITY UPGRADE – Oakland, CA - Construction Value: $60 million. A 120 acre site involved 4 phases, extensive utility work, contaminated soils mitigation, track installation, building construction, and asphalt and concrete work.
