ROBERT SALABER , P.E.

President / Project Manager

Mr. Salaber has more than 22 years of diverse construction experience. He is a well-accomplished contract administrator and oversight engineer with an excellent reputation in the industry. Mr. Salaber is extremely knowledgeable of infrastructure related work and is familiar with Local, State and Federal procedures and requirements. In fact, he has written construction administration and inspection training manuals for both public and private clients and has provided training courses on a variety of construction issues during his career. Mr. Salaber has been the Resident Engineer (RE) and/or Structure Representative on more than 30 projects ranging in size, scope and complexity. He spent seven years with the Caltrans Office of Structure Construction, five years as an RE, Project Manager and Vice President with a private construction management firm, and has been the President of Salaber Associates, Inc. (SAI) since April of 1999. Mr. Salaber is well versed in project management, contract administration, value engineering, constructability and biddability reviews, plan and specification interpretation, claims analysis and mitigation, field inspection, mediation, public relations, training and systems development. He is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional.  Mr. Salaber is a dynamic speaker and has excellent communication skills. He is very forthright and is able to foster and maintain positive and professional working relationships. Mr. Salaber has proven countless times, with his insight and communicative abilities, that he is a true asset to his clients on all phases of a construction or development project.

SELECTED EXPERIENCE:

SOUTH URBAN GROWTH AREA REGIONAL STORM DRAINAGE FACILITIES PROJECT - Construction Value: $8.5 million
SPRINGLAKE DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT (SLDCFD) "BACKBONE INFRASTRUCTURE"PROJECT - Construction Value: $15.2 million
SPRINGLAKE SUBDIVISION "IN-TRACT" PROJECTS - Woodland, CA
- Construction Value: $20 million. The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Drainage Project involved a massive water conveyance system and agricultural interceptor, two detention ponds totaling 50 acres, eight reinforced concrete box culverts under various City and County roads, three miles of drainage canals, operating roads, a public access parking lot and observation decks, constructing, restoring and maintaining a large environmentally sensitive area (ESA), and installing utility services for the City of Woodland and private properties. The work also involved extensive permitting issues, traffic control, extensive water quality monitoring, and major earthmoving operations. The Springlake Subdivision work involved all the infrastructure improvements for all the private residential developments, including five subdivisions, with five different developers, with over 700 new homes as part of Phase I of the SLDCFD.

CITY OF SACRAMENTO CONSTRUCTION LIAISON - Sacramento, CA - Construction Value: Various. Mr. Salaber was contracted with the City of Sacramento Public Works Department, Project Delivery Division, to provide construction/design coordination on a variety of public works projects. His responsibility was to assist the City’s inspectors in assessing issues in the field and making recommendations to the City’s project managers. The primary reason for the position was to make the Division run more efficiently. 

INTERSTATE 5 / DOWNING AVENUE INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - Stockton, CA - Construction Value: $2.2 million. The project involved widening Downing Avenue under the I-5/Downing Overpass, retaining walls, intersection improvements, including signalization, highway ramp widening, extensive curb, gutter and sidewalk, striping, new and extended drainage facilities, utility installations, a slurry seal, and extensive traffic control.
