The project involved the construction of multiple highway ramps, widening of the Interstate 5 freeway, new city streets, curb, gutter and sidewalk, landscaping, signalized intersections, street lights, several large storm drain systems, utility relocations, and a new 88 meter, 6-lane wide, cast-in-place pre-stressed (CIP/PS) concrete box girder bridge over Interstate 5. The project involved widening the existing two (2) lane cast-in-place (CIP) concrete box girder bridge over Interstate 5 to four (4) lanes, adding bike lanes, widening and improving a half a mile of County Road 102, including four intersections, improvements to two (2) Interstate 5 ramps and the construction of a new ramp with metering, utility work, large diameter cast-in-drill hole (CIDH) piles, large freeway sign structures, extensive electrical work, street lighting, both permanent and temporary signalized intersections, and extensive landscaping and irrigation work.
