Salaber Associates provided Resident Engineer and inspection services for this important project near A.M Winn Elementary School in Lincoln Village.  This locally funded project aimed to reduce the speed of traffic and provide a safe route to school for students. The project consisted of installing speed reducing bulb-outs at five intersections, 10 speed humps on selected streets, two electronic speed feedback advisory signs at two locations, pavement striping and bike lane configuration, curb, gutter, and sidewalk repair, removal and replacement of thermoplastic traffic striping and markings, and ADA curb ramp improvements. Salaber Associates coordinated work with the Folsom-Cordova School District, and the Principal of the elementary school.  Construction administration and inspection duties included: community relations, review and approval of submittals and traffic control plan, processing progress payments and tracking bid item quantities, negotiating and issuing Contract Change Orders, review Certified Payroll and perform labor compliance interviews.
