SAI provided full construction management services, including the Resident Engineer (RE), Senior Inspector, and materials sampling and testing. The work involved the complete roadway reconstruction / rehabilitation of Webb Street near downtown Loomis.  The project included a 12” grind of 1,600’ of the existing arterial roadway, cement treatment, substantial regrading to address conform issues, lowering and raising of iron, utility conflicts, HMA paving, intermodal parking lot seal coat, striping, traffic control, SWPPP and various other elements. Daily public interaction and relations were required because of the potential impacts to the residential community, and all issues were addressed in a professional and productive manner, as attested by the local community members. Coordination with the various Town departments and regional transit, as well as with the Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) was also required. The RE was responsible for all administration and documentation, field orders, change orders, supervising the inspector, chairing meetings, correspondence, progress payments and various other tasks. The inspector provided daily inspection, public relations, and oversight of the contractor’s operations. The project was finished under budget.
